Designed with the inshore angler in mind, the Revo®
Inshore features an improved X2- Cräftic™ frame for added
corrosion protection and High Performance Corrosion
Resistant (HPCR®) bearings that provide maximum
protection under the harshest conditions. Featuring an
extended handle with large EVA knobs, the Revo Inshore
provides improved grip for added comfort when fighting large
inshore species. Dual anti-reverse gives you additional back
up for those high pressure situations.  A new more compact
design also allows for additional line capacity than the
original without increasing the overall width of the reel. The
improved D2 Gear Design™ is the next generation of
Duragear™ providing a more efficient and powerful gear
system while improving the overall durability of the Revo
Inshore. The Revo Inshore sideplates are precision
engineered with C6 carbon sideplates.

Like the freshwater Revo, Abu Garcia’s Revo Inshore is a
stunning reel, one that just a few seasons ago anglers
would have never expected from a company best known for
their traditional round reels. The sleek profile of this reel is
the same as the freshwater series but a metallic blue deep
spool has been added for inshore applications.
The Inshore was specifically made for the saltwater
environments with corrosion resistant components such as
an X-craftic alloy frame and sideplate, stainless steel HPCR
bearings, and a stainless steel crankshaft.
Abu Garcia really wanted to satisfy all inshore anglers with
this new introduction as is evidenced by the inclusion of
two handles. One is the standard Extended Throw handle
with double knobs good for freshwater applications. The
other is a Power Handle having a single large knob for an
easy and powerful grip for applications requiring more
leverage. With these two handle options, anglers can use
either to battle their favorite inshore game.
The Abu Garcia Revo Inshore was designed for inshore
anglers especially for the growing Redfish tour. Though
that might be its primary market we’ve seen what this
baitcast reel is capable of on the internet with reports of
both the Revo STX and Inshore being used to target and
land large sailfish.
Our adventures were not quite as exotic, but we were able
to put this Abu Garcia reel up against the striped bass
population of the California Delta and along the Pacific
coast for rockcod and large, mean lingcod, a mixture of
formidable hitting and hard pulling fish with the added
abuse of a corrosive environment.
Featuring an extended handle with large EVA knobs, the Revo Inshore provides improved grip for added
comfort when fighting large inshore species. Dual anti-reverse gives you additional back up for those high
pressure situations. A more compact design also allows for additional line capacity than the original
without increasing the overall width of the reel. The improved D2 Gear Design is the next generation of
Duragear providing a more efficient and powerful gear system while improving the overall durability of the
Revo Inshore. The Revo Inshore side plates are precision engineered with C6 carbon side plates. The
Pitch Centrifugal brake utilizes, 6 brake blocks (3 spring loaded and 3 non spring loaded). The spring
loaded brake blocks act only when the spool is under high revolution (1st part of the cast) and will then
disengage to give maximum distance. Features: - 6 High Performance Corrosion Resistant (HPCR)

The Revo Inshore, in its first year
of introduction, is excellent in size
and with the deep spool it can
hold a decent amount of braided
line. But in the future I’d love to
see an even larger sized offering,
something comparable to
Shimano Curado 300. The
increased line capacity would
take the Revo Inshore to the next
level, giving it the ability to target
even larger game throughout the
world.
